Barnes Wins Rookie of the Year Award
The NBA has announced that Scottie Barnes has won the 2021-22 NBA Rookie of the Year award. Barnes, a 20-year-old forward for the Toronto Raptors, averaged 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in his rookie season. He was also named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Barnes is the first Raptors player to win the Rookie of the Year award since Vince Carter in 1999.
